  1. Shut up. I was …
Shut up. I was stressed out.

  2. “tyranism”?

    come on
    “tyranism”?

    come on

  3. You’re assuming …
You’re assuming your loved ones would HAVE to die! What if they were immortal, too? But anyway, isn’t the whole fun of life discovering new things and exploring? If you could do that for eternity, then why not?

  4. I think eternal …
I think eternal life would be a curse, seeing your love ones pass by while you stay alive is a curse, however if you’re apathetic then I guess not. But diff things you like pass by is also one, and if the brain is infinite yes, but if it isn’t ant it’s just an attic then there’ll be no purpose on living on if you cant access it, of course I think it probly will make space by deleting other things.

  5. “I” is just just an …
“I” is just just an illusion. A flame is always changing shape, but overall, it’s still fire. We’re just a little “spark” of that “fire”. Are you the same person now as when you were a little kid? No, you’re quite different.

  6. No, he also said …
No, he also said that eternal life would be, “A curse”. I disagree for many reasons. First, I would always prefer to exist in some conscious form. It would be infinitely preferable to not existing at all. Second, there really is an infinite amount of things you could experience… And I want see ALL of it!

  7. if there’s an …
if there’s an infinite amount of things to experience, how long would it be before you’re no longer you?

  8. Well, you’re …
Well, you’re assuming you only have access to a single game. What if you could live as someone else? What if you could chose to have variations on your own life so it was one huge wacky adventure? And like he said, you could always be modified to find pleasure in familiarity. Also, Thunderf00t said that wanting eternal life was “greedy”. Being greedy only applies when it’s at the expense of others… Which, to be fair, people often are in the name of eternal life.

  9. I think you haven’t …
I think you haven’t really thought about how there is really an infinite amount of things to experience. Who’s to say that even forgetting about something and starting over again wouldn’t be preferable to not existing at all?

  10. I think you missed …
I think you missed Thunderf00t’s point entirely. His point wasn’t that heaven would be an eternal stretch of nothing, but rather that eternity of anything would get old for a while, and then would never end, and you’d be stuck eternally living through something that you were sick of centuries ago. it’s like watching your favorite TV show for all eternity. it will get old, then you’ll want to leave. but you can’t.

  11. “Who wants to live …
“Who wants to live forever” by Dune.

  12. Of course you …
Of course you should enjoy this life! That’s the whole point!

He’s not advocating wasting this life at all, as this life HAS a purpose, which is to experience it.

Besides, if your life has to be limited in order to give it value, it probably wasn’t worth anything to begin with. The game “E.T.” On atari is rare and expensive, but does that make it a better game? Honestly, there is literally an infinite plethora of things to experience.

  13. Dude, the whole …
Dude, the whole idea of “Life After Death” is a way of not living life “NOW”, so you can live life “later”, after death. And I know that Existentialist literature sounds really depressing, but it also gives a meaningfulness, and preciousness to the time at hand. It tells you to not waist it, enjoy it! You only got one shot! No regrets! Don’t hold back! Eternal life makes finite live useless and meaningless. At the end, you become more moral and appreciate life more for what it is.

  14. Thunderf00t didn’t …
Thunderf00t didn’t mean death should be accepted he wanted to say that you better accept death then eternal life.
Did you ever play any game?
Try to play 1 game for like 7 years it will get boring like life.

And i don’t know what starving villigers getting a food supply is connected to eternal life?

  15. I’m not here to …
I’m not here to claim anything just speak my opinion about what Thunderf00t said.I don’t think he meant anything about accepting death as in it’s fine to die, but accept that you will eventually have to, it’s not something that you can avoid forever. He never said to welcome death to your porch, as we all know death should be avoided but it has to eventually happen so don’t try to think you can have eternal life.He said to enjoy life and don’t waste your time hating death, but instead enjoy life.

  17. Comment about …
Comment about Thunderf00t’s meaning and on what I thought he meant:

I am not defending anyone or proclaiming anything really. I just truly thought that when he was talking he meant you can’t run away from not dying at SOME point in your life. He did say enjoy it, and not let it go to waste. He didn’t say not to avoid it, just to be realistic that sometime you will die, so don’t waste your time hating it, instead spend it enjoying life.

  18. whats the name and …
whats the name and band of the song at the enD?

  19. Actually, it …
Actually, it needn’t be INFINITELY happier. And Dragon and I don’t believe in heaven, but more a sort of reincarnation.

Watch the death paradox video. It says that it’s not logical for anything to not exist because consciousness is what makes life exist.

  20. What Thunderf00t …
What Thunderf00t meant was that life is short and you should take full advantage of it while it lasts. The thought of an eternal afterlife diminishes this thought, as after death you’ll be infinitely more happy. It’s all good and wonderful to believe you’ll experience eternal happiness after you die, but it’s simply not probable. So, live life to the fullest.

  21. Consider this, if …
Consider this, if we lived forever we would eventually see the death of the universe. Essentially if space continues at its current pace expanding faster and faster, sooner or later not even light can move fast enough to communicate information. Granted this may be wrong or we may find a way to subvert this, I would also like to point out that evolution also dictates that it would not be humans as we know them(probably a good thing).

  22. “We have the wrong …
“We have the wrong view of death in America, if death is tragic then all of life is.”

    What the is THAT garglemesh?

  23. Most of our …
Most of our nourishment and the nourishment of all living things is provided by dead things that were previously alive. This gives living things time to fool around and improve so that they don’t have to eat rocks 24/7. We will always try to conquer our death gene and probably never will. I do not look forward to eternal life, but to suggest that eternal death is preferable, is mindbogglingly stupid, and the fact that it comes from a very smart guy is also mindboggling.

  24. That’s the most …
That’s the most retarded thing I’ve heard in a while. Get over yourself.

  25. Your going to die, …
Your going to die, get over it. When you hit 75 years old or so you’ll welcome it. We have the wrong view of death in America, if death is tragic then all of life is. The Christian/Muslim/whatever view on life cheapens it.
